Staff Accountant - Audit
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented staff accountant to join our Audit team. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in accounting and auditing, possess excellent analytical and communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for providing support in the planning, execution, and reporting of audit engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of audit engagements under the supervision of senior auditors
- Conduct audit procedures in accordance with auditing standards and firm policies
- Analyze financial statements and accounting records to identify potential errors and misstatements
- Prepare workpapers documenting audit procedures and findings
- Assist in the preparation of audit reports and other deliverables for clients
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure audit objectives are met
- Stay up-to-date with changes in auditing standards, accounting regulations, and industry trends
Qualifications:
- Dedicated individual that values integrity, quality, and professionalism.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or master’s degree in accounting
- Minimum of 40 hours of continuing professional education is required each year.
- Proficiency in use of computers and computer accounting / tax software programs.
- Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles and personal income taxes.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English.
- Either holds a current and valid certified public accountant’s license or is working toward obtaining the license by taking and passing the applicable state CPA exam.
